Easily Integratable Adaptive Automation
True to its name, the Auto Finish is redefining what it means to clean and finish parts — automatically.
Gone are the days of manual blasting. The Auto Finish is a fully automated system available in wet blasting, sandblasting, or high-pressure parts washing configurations — each purpose-built for consistent, repeatable results. With 15 inches of Z-axis travel and support for turntables up to 12 inches in diameter, it’s ready to handle a wide range of part sizes. The innovative quick-change puck system enables fast, tool-free fixturing, while adjustable blast gun positioning and zero programming requirements make setup effortless and efficient.
Lets Talk Possibilities
What Is The AF1215 Capable Of?
As mentioned earlier, the Auto Finish AF1215 features an impressive 15 inches of vertical travel and accommodates turntables up to 12 inches in diameter. That’s a substantial working volume, especially given the AF1215’s sleek design and compact footprint. From engine cases and cylinder heads to extrusion dies, machined parts, and tooling like end mills or carbide inserts — this machine handles it all with ease. In fact, we estimate that about 75% of the parts blasted in our showroom — both internal projects and customer jobs — could be processed using this machine.
The quick-change puck system makes custom part fixturing effortless. Whether you’re running high-volume production or need a solution for a uniquely shaped part, creating a custom fixture has never been easier. Need help with fixturing? We’re just a phone call away. Additional pucks can be purchased or fabricated to suit your application.

Extend Your Tooling Life by Up to 300%
Yes, you read that right. The AF1215 was originally engineered as a precision tool honing system — but what does that actually mean?
Through the controlled vapor blasting process and our specially selected abrasive media, the AF1215 creates the ideal surface profile for cutting tools. Take an end mill, for example: standard grinding leaves a smooth surface with inconsistent pitting and a sharply defined — sometimes brittle — cutting edge. After treatment in the AF1215, the surface becomes more uniform with a lightly textured profile, minor pitting is removed, and the cutting edge is refined with a smoother, more consistent transition between the edge and the tool body.
The result? Significantly improved wear resistance, better coolant retention, and a longer-lasting tool — up to 3x the original lifespan. By refining the cutting edge and enhancing the surface texture, the AF1215 reduces friction during cutting and improves chip evacuation. This leads to cooler operating temperatures and less heat-related distortion or breakdown at the cutting edge. The textured surface also helps retain coolant more effectively, allowing lubrication to stay where it’s needed most. These benefits compound over time — not only does each tool last longer, but it also performs more consistently throughout its life, reducing tool changes, scrap rates, and overall production downtime.

Machines are built to order, but ship quickly.
The Tool Hone upgrade ships with 3 drillable pucks and the specific media to be used.
The Demister keeps visibility high inside the cabinet and prevents vapor/particles from escaping the machine. The Demister may ship separately.
Free Application Testing
At Vapor Honing Technologies, we’re committed to providing equipment that is guaranteed to perform. To ensure this result, we encourage potential customers to take advantage of our Free Application Testing program, to verify the benefits of our equipment first-hand. This service is not limited to companies, but is accessible to all customers. Additionally, it is no issue if an N.D.A. is required, and we are ready and willing to work with you!
