What is the Difference Between the VH 1000 and the VH 3630?
Are you interested in buying a lower costing industrial style machine? Well, then you might have your eye on the VH1000 and the VH3630. Here are the similarities and differences between the VH1000 and VH3630, to help with your selection.
Similarities
The VH1000 and VH3630 have two similarities. The first is the cabinet build. Both machines are nearly identical, with the same internal workspace and exterior footprint. Since they are the same size both efficiently blast the same parts and take up the same amount of space in your workshop. Besides the physicality of the machines, they are also both made out of stainless steel with aluminum options.
Also both the VH1000 and VH3630 are backed by our lifetime warranty and makes you eligible for the trade-up program. The lifetime warranty guarantees that we will repair your parts for the lifetime of your machine. As for the trade-in program you can trade in your machine at any time and get a bigger machine. With the trade-up program the money you spent toward your first machine goes towards the next one, saving you money. The VH1000 and VH3630 are the same size and metal, and are both backed by the lifetime warranty and comes with the trade-up option.
VH 3630
Now that we know how the VH3630 and the VH1000 are similar, let us look at their differences. We will start with the VH3630. The VH3630 or the Econoline is an industrial machine that uses standard parts. Since it uses standard parts it is less expensive than the VH1000 costing only $9,000.
VH 3630 Air Regulator and Drain Value
So what standard parts does it have? It has a standard regulator on the side of the machine. Despite its size and location you can still easily adjust your air pressure with this regulator, it will just take more effort.
The VH3630 also has a manual overflow valve. So when you want to drain the abrasive you have to wait two or three minutes before you can open the valve.
The Lighting
As for inside the cabinet, the only difference between the VH3630 and the VH1000 is the amount of lighting. The VH3630 has one LED light bar. Since there is only one light you can get a shadowing effect on your parts. To avoid this issue, try powder coating the inside of the cabinet white. This will cause some of the light to reflect off the wall, making your cabinet brighter.
VH 3630 Intended Use
The last difference between the VH3630 and the VH1000 is who and what it is made for. The VH3630 is made for light industrial use. This is because it uses does not have some of the creature comforts the VH1000 has that aid in processing parts. The VH3630 has standard products that bring the price down significantly compared to the VH1000 making it great for a cutting some costs. However, if this machine is going to be used in a truly industrial setting, the VH1000 is second to none.
VH 1000
While the VH3630 has standard products, the VH1000 is made with industrial grade products. Because of these industrial grade products and added features, the VH1000 is more expensive than the VH3630. It does pack in more features though!
The Regulator and Drain Valve
With a VH1000 you get a precision regulator. Unlike with the standard, the precision one is located on top of your machine. Therefore it is much easier to read the air pressure on this machine.
With this machine you also have an automated valve. The automated valve has timers that will open and drain the abrasive. This is great because you do not have to worry about opening it too early and draining any abrasive. This is also beneficial for those who have multiple people blasting because some people are either going to forget to drain the abrasive or will go too early and mess up the levels. By having the VH1000 with an automated drain valve you eliminate these issues.
VH 1000 Lighting
Inside the cabinet the lighting is also different between the VH3630 and the VH1000. The VH1000 has 2 LED light bars. With two light bars you eliminate the issue of shadowing on your part. In fact the light is more likely to reflect off of your part, making the cabinet even brighter. With this increased level of brightness it is much easier to see in this cabinet.
Intended Use
When it comes to using the VH1000 it is built for everyday use in an industrial setting. The VH1000 is actually one of the oldest machines in our lineup.
