Automated Wet Blast Machine – Vapor Honing Technologies

Our automated wet blasting machine, known as the Gladiator, provides excellent surface finishing on its own. Engine blocks are time consuming to wet blast in any situation. As showcased in our video, the Gladiator makes quick work of them. The Honda engine block shown went from dirty and unusable to clean and pristine in two cycles. 

The first trial took roughly one hour and was running on a continuous cycle while the gun moves vertically in a linear motion. The second trial takes another hour but this time the gun is blasting one section at a time and the turntable turns 15 degree each time it finishes a section. 

Results

We did the calculations and this automated wet blast machine will cover 90-95 percent of the surfaces on its own. Yes, 90 to 95 percent surface cleaning and all you need to do is input some dimensions on the HMI. The rest will result in by manual wet blasting. Running this engine twice and the results already look amazing. It took most of the grimes and oxidation off besides the spots where it’s more complex.

Gladiator – Features

The automated wet blast cabinet comes with an HMI that is easy to navigate. Upon purchase, there will be a manual to teach you how to navigate and operate the HMI. 

The Gladiator is PLC controlled and has an automated turntable system with a vertical moving blasting gun. The turntable is capable of handling up to 1000 lbs.
