Cleaning automotive cylinder head is a pain and is very time consuming. It takes a lot of elbow grease if you do not have the right tools to use. What if I told you that vapor honing can take cleaning to another level? The cleaning part will be as simple as aiming. You aim your gun nozzle at your part and just let the machine do the work.

We have a before and after results to show you how well the finished results are. In the machine, the abrasive media we are using is glass bead slurry.

We blasted half of the head and left the other side alone to show the before and after results. Our objective is to see how well the results are without cleaning any of the greases and grime off. We wet blasted the head without even loosening any carbon build-up.

After blasting half of the cylinder head, the results were beautiful. Our glass bead slurry did a great job at cleaning the cylinder head. It came out looking brand new, better than oem finish.

The only thing we could not get off is the RTV sealant and the gasket. The reason for that is the material is too passive and when it hits the sealant and gaskets, it rolls over it. Our glass bead slurry will not take off the RTV sealant and gasket. Other than that, the cylinder head looks phenomenal.
