What are the Benefits of the Bench Top Machines?

Want a small machine that has industrial grade products? Then get a Micro Hone, a VH450, or VH650 machine. So, what are the benefits of the Bench Top machines? The Bench Top series is great for numerous reasons. Here are a couple of them.

Space

One of the Bench Top machines benefits is that it is small and takes up little space. The Micro’s dimensions are 20” W x 29”D x 24” H for the whole machine and the internal workspace is 17” W x 13” D x 13” H. As for the VH650, it has internal dimensions of  22” W x 25” D x 28” H and the total machine dimensions are 33” W x 32” D x 24” H with a 19” door. The Bench Top 450 dimensions fall in between these two machines.

Many of our customers find that putting these machines on a pushcart provides them with the option to blast anywhere in their shop. To also aid in the reduction of space, our machines are top loaders. The top load door provides a smaller work space and more comfort when loading and unloading your machine. With these machines, space is also saved, as there are no basins to accompany them.

A Basin Free Machine

Another benefit of the Bench Top machines is that they are not closed or open-loop systems, so you don’t have to utilize buckets or basins, saving you space. Similar to our other machines, the Bench Tops contain the water and abrasive in the hopper, which recirculates while blasting. Since these machines do not have a water hookup, there is no window or internal rinse. However, the machines are still easy to see inside of while blasting, since you can look at your parts from overhead. Making the bench top units self contained helps reduce the space used by the machines and provides excellent mobility.

Industrial Grade Products

The last benefit of our Bench Top machines is that they have industrial quality components that make them reliable, easy, and comfortable to use. All of our bench top models utilize boron carbide nozzles, standard air regulators, and simple controls. Our VH450 and VH650 also utilize a foot pedal, switch panel, and LED lighting, making them more comfortable and easy to use.

As for the pumps used in these machines, they are quite different. The Micro Hone uses an air power pump that provides it with a lot of mobility to move around your shop. This also means that the Micro Hone requires no electricity to operate! The VH450 has a standard pump with a plastic impeller, and the VH650 has an industrial pump with a polyurethane impeller. While all Bench Top models create a high volume slurry, just like the rest of our machines, the industrial grade impeller can withstand a lot more abuse. If you are looking for a machine to clean carburetors, jewelry, or other small items, a Bench Top machine is perfect for you. Their small size, inexpensive cost, and the great finishes they provide, make them a great solution for many of our customers.

Our Bench Top machines, specifically the Micro Hone, also provide a great starting point for getting into Vapor Blasting. At Vapor Honing Technologies, we offer the industries only trade up program, which allows you to get the full credit you payed for a machine back if you decide to upgrade. (You can learn more about our trade up program here). So, if you outgrow your bench top model, you can easily upgrade to a larger machine without losing any money in the process.

Conclusion

Bench Top machines provide many benefits that will make vapor blasting a great experience for you. They are small, self-contained machines that are industrial grade equipment, yet still comfortable to use. If you have any questions about our Bench Top models, please contact us at 828-202-5563.
